Resistance is multi-faceted: protests are just one piece. Please consider taking action in other ways as well. Check out IMRV options in a variety of areas we’ve defined as our ‘lanes of engagement’ and decide what role you’d like to play.

January 2026 Lanes of Engagement

  • Voter Protection: Get Out the Vote: Phonebanking; text banking; letter writing; canvassing; voter registration; postcarding.

  • Protests & Rallies: Participating in protests and economic actions (national, state, or local); visibility actions.

  • Shaping Laws & Policy: Calling/writing representatives; Letters to the Editor; Front Porch Forum posts; working with coalitions.

  • Strategic Use of Dollars, Goods, and Time: Giving circles; raising funds & good for local, state, and national non-profits that serve people and fight the damage from the MAGA regime.

  • Indivisible Community Building: Building community within individual local groups; building the wider community; building connections between local groups in the Vermont Indivisible Network.
